About Us
Patterson Avenue Seventh-day Adventist Church is a community of Christians with a belief system based entirely on the Bible, God's Holy Word. See below for a summary of our beliefs.
We Believe...
We believe the entire Bible to be the inspired Word of God, and the sole guide to lead us to salvation. Our love and devotion is rooted supremely in Christ, whom we worship as our Savior, Creator and Lord.
We believe that forgiveness, healing and eternal life are offered freely to all by the grace of Jesus, on the basis of what He has accomplished for us at the cross and continues to do as He ministers on our behalf in the Heavenly Sanctuary.
We believe the “New Covenant” provides not only forgiveness for sin, but also God’s promise to write His law in our hearts so that our greatest joy will be to do His will. We desire to keep His commandments because He has already circled us in His arms of love by His redeeming grace. His law includes the Sabbath of the fourth commandment, inviting us to spend a special time of fellowship with Jesus on the seventh day of the week.
We are compelled as a people to share to a perishing world the gospel message in the context of God’s final message found in Revelation 14. Our devotion to Christ inspires us to look forward to His soon return in the clouds of heaven when we shall see our Savior face to face.
